Delray Beach, FL

Painters in Delray Beach. Historic charm, downtown energy.

From Pineapple Grove's Bankers Row to Nassau Park's Cape Cod cottages, from Atlantic Avenue condos to Lake Ida bungalows — Delray's mix of historic and modern needs painters who handle both. 25 years across the city.

I · Local context

Five historic districts plus Atlantic Avenue.

Delray Beach is a 16-square-mile coastal city with a personality of its own. Five city-designated historic districts — Old School Square, Del-Ida Park, Nassau Park, Marina District, and West Settlers — plus the bustling downtown corridor along Atlantic Avenue. The city sits between Boca and Boynton, but its character isn't either of theirs.

What makes Delray distinct: the historic stock is real, the downtown lifestyle is genuine, and the two coexist within walking distance. Bankers Row in Pineapple Grove is a street of restored 1920s Mediterranean Revival homes. Nassau Park has 17 Cape Cod Colonial Revival cottages from 1935. Del-Ida Park has a unique 1923 diagonal street pattern with triangular blocks. West Settlers (1894) is the first African-American settlement in Delray, with frame vernacular homes still standing.

We've worked all of this. Historic Mediterranean Revival in Pineapple Grove, mid-century along Atlantic Avenue, modern luxury condos near the beach, country club estates west of I-95. Different products, different prep, same crew. Bilingual EN/ES. Fully insured for historic-district and HOA work.

III · Common projects here

What we typically do in Delray.

Historic restoration is a big part of our Delray calendar, but it's not all we do.

Historic district exterior repaints

1920s Mediterranean Revival, Cape Cod cottages, Mission Revival, Frame Vernacular. Soft pressure wash, original wood trim, lime stucco prep, breathable paints.

Pineapple Grove condo & townhome interiors

City Walk, The Mark, Grove Estates. Modern construction, custom finishes, building-access coordination. Owners often weekend or seasonal — we work around their schedule.

Atlantic Avenue mixed-use

Storefronts on the ground floor, residential units above. Different surfaces, different products, often phased work across multiple visits.

Salt-air-rated coastal work

Beachside homes deal with salt corrosion daily. We use marine-grade finishes appropriate to the conditions, particularly on metal trim and fasteners.

City historic-district color compliance

Delray's historic preservation board reviews exterior color changes within designated districts. We handle submission and color matching.

Country club estate work — West Delray

Mizner Country Club, Saturnia Isles, Delaire. Gated communities west of I-95. Same standards as East Delray historic work, different products for newer construction.

IV · Delray-specific

Two cities in one zip-code cluster.

Delray is really two distinct working environments. East of I-95 is historic and dense — tight lots, walkability, original 1920s Mediterranean stock alongside newer condos. West of I-95 is country-club country — Mizner CC, Saturnia Isles, Delaire, gated and master-planned. The two halves require completely different approaches, and we've worked both for 25 years.

The historic district work has its own discipline. The Delray historic preservation board takes its mandate seriously — exterior color changes within Old School Square, Del-Ida, Nassau Park, Marina, or West Settlers districts go through review. We handle that submission. We also use products appropriate to the original 1920s lime-stucco surfaces, not the modern Portland-cement stucco of newer construction.

Atlantic Avenue lives differently than the rest of Palm Beach County. It's a real downtown — restaurants packed every night, foot traffic, art walks, festival weekends. Working those properties means coordinating with retail tenants, scheduling around peak hours, and respecting the rhythm of a vibrant commercial street. We've done that work for 25 years and we know how to keep it moving without disrupting the businesses on either side.

VI · FAQ

Common questions from Delray homeowners.

Do you work in Delray's historic districts?

Yes — Old School Square, Del-Ida Park, Nassau Park, Marina District, and West Settlers. We use products and prep appropriate to original 1920s Mediterranean Revival stucco, plaster walls, and original wood trim. We handle Delray HPB submission as part of the work.

How much does a historic exterior repaint cost in Delray Beach?

1920s Mediterranean Revival or Mission-style homes typically run $7,000–$14,000 for full exterior, depending on size, stucco condition, and wood-trim restoration needs. Cape Cod cottages in Nassau Park run $5,000–$9,000. Flat written estimate after walking the job.

Do you handle the West Delray country club communities?

Yes — Mizner Country Club, Saturnia Isles, Delaire, and the others. We carry the insurance levels required for gated-community entry, handle HOA color submission, and coordinate gate access through community management.

Can you work on Atlantic Avenue properties without disrupting the businesses?

Yes — we've done a lot of mixed-use work along Atlantic. We schedule around peak hours, coordinate with ground-floor tenants, and use containment to limit impact on neighboring businesses. Phased work across multiple visits is normal.

Do you use salt-air-rated finishes for beachside homes?

Yes — beachside Delray homes need marine-grade products on metal trim, fasteners, and any corroding surfaces. We use the right products for the location.

Are you fully insured?

Yes — general liability coverage with certificates available on request.
